Go Wild at "Wild Rhythms"

Wendy, Cheryl and Florence capture the "Wild Rhythms" spirit. They reached into closets for costumes and props from a past formation team performance.

Dance Report
Hello Everyone!
Our June 13 dance brought out the "wild" in everyone, or should I say "Wild Rhythms"?? From the Cumbia lesson to the Bachata's & Cha-Cha's, there was energy abounding! A Jerusalema line dance was also added, and on a quieter note, the Waltz mixer was a beautiful sway around the floor enjoyed by many.
The decorations consisted of tables adorned with black table cloths, vases filled with palm leaves & bright tropical flowers, and little wild animals hanging about. Members & guests were invited into the jungle by Linda G. & Tamara who manned the check-in table.
The delicious appetizers & desserts donated by all of the committee members were enjoyed by everyone throughout the night. As always, the food table continues to be a favorite part of all the monthly dances!

It was amazing to see such great dancing by the young and old, the beginners and the seasoned! Thank you to all who attended "Wild Rhythms" & made it such a special evening! I am grateful to VSD for the fun and friendship that it brings to us all.
Many thanks to our committee: Linda & John Guttierrez (John played some great music), Tamara Galli, Diane Sellers, Michelle Peters, Ahmed Bahar, Ed Torres, & Linda Ruiz. A special thanks to Stan Medina for kindly agreeing to MC as well. It was my pleasure to mentor Kristine Lewis as my Co-Chair! She has amazing talent & will be a great asset to our dances in the future.
Sincerely, Sally Bailey
