What are the benefits of membership?

Visalia Smooth Dancers provides an opportunity to meet new friends and develop and improve ballroom dancing skills. A whole new world of entertainment and enjoyment awaits those who become members of our social dance club. The club includes both couples and singles who have all levels of dancing abilities, and who are very willing to assist you to have fun.

Additionally, we:
- Provide information regarding dance lessons and future dances
- Provide speakers and exhibition ballroom dancers for interested groups
​
- Keep the cost of social dances and events affordable
​
- Arrange social activities for members, including fun out-of-town dance trips
​
- Hold dance competitions
​
- Hold low-cost weekly dance workshops
​
- Have opportunities to watch performances by outstanding nationally and internationally ranked dancers
​
What are the responsibilities of membership?
​
Members are expected to support the Chapter by participating in club meetings and monthly dances, assisting with the work and duties required to arrange monthly dances and the annual queen coronation event, volunteer to serve on committees and in Chapter officer positions, and pay dues on time.

What is the cost of membership?
​
The annual membership cost is $40 per person per calendar year.

All applicants are required to attend at least one club meeting prior to the application being considered. All fees are due before the new member is sworn in.​
